Does it work with a personal TikTok account?

Yes. TikTok’s Accounts API supports personal and business accounts. Connect an account you own or are authorized to manage through TikTok’s secure authorization screen. Availability can still depend on TikTok’s account and regional restrictions.

What happens when I connect?

We start by analyzing the comments and replies available on your latest 20 videos. Nothing is hidden during this first check. You review suggested extra protection, choose what fits your community, and then finish setup.

What does CommentCare hide?

High-confidence spam and scams, plus the extra protection categories you choose. Context matters: a coin name, a joke or a critical opinion alone should not trigger a hide. AI can make mistakes, so you can review the results.

How often are comments checked?

After setup, CommentCare schedules checks every 30 minutes. Comment volume, available allowance and TikTok’s API limits can affect how long a check takes. Protection is periodic, rather than instant.

Can I bring a comment back?

Yes. Review hidden comments in your dashboard and confirm Restore. CommentCare asks TikTok to make the comment visible again. Content removed by TikTok or its author may no longer be restorable.

Can I connect more than one account?

The listed Starter plan includes one TikTok account. Pro is designed for multiple accounts with a shared comment allowance. Each account needs its owner’s authorization. Paid checkout is currently disabled; no subscription starts when you sign up.

Who can see my data?

CommentCare processes authorized account data to run the service. OpenAI’s API receives comment text and video captions for classification, but never your TikTok password or access tokens. Our privacy notice explains the providers, retention and your choices.
